I HOPE you 'dinne'r is mid-day. Also:'real butter' for oleo....drop white potatoes altogether....switch to sweet potatoes. Have dessert (if you must) after lunch. Almonds are better than peanuts. FRESH veggies....FORGET canned....wheat bread or rye....bananas are THE fruit, FORGET that cute little 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away' ..... Nutella is better peanut butter. Black coffee...forget the 'flavored' & ones & cream/sugar. Diabetic sweets are for non-diabetics also.

I gained weight when I had an idiopathic brain aneurysm & had a feeding tube (2nd belly button now) WALK A LOT (Had to RE-learn @ 54)

DON'T 'crash diet' OR go on Atkins/etc....
