Apple pie, home made with a really larded up pie crust and crushed up cinammon graham crackers covering the top of the bottom crust with the apple filling on top dotted with butter and sprinkled with cinammon and then the top crust. ,

While it is no secret that whole foods are much better for you than processed foods, it is sometimes very difficult to stick to a strictly whole food diet. I try to get my clients to use as many whole foods as possible in their diets, but due to to time constraints and even cost effectiveness, it is sometimes not possible. Also, if it is a client's goal to use weight, I would rather them use a fat free spray on butter rather than whole food butter or any oil because of the calorie and saturated fat content. I think we need to take a look at each individual's goals, time commitments and lifestyle to see what the best food choice for that particular individual will be.

I disagree on your comment to avoid safflower oil. This is one of the most healthy oils you can buy. It contains essential fatty acids that are not present in many oils including olive oil. It also has a lot less saturated fat than olive oil. I don't say olive oil is bad, but HAIN unprocessed safflower oil is very healthy.
