I am the biggest offender of diet programs. I am a homemaker and in close proximity to food all day/night long. I seem to crave nutty-chocolaty snacks or something with a slight salty taste during the evening hours [2000hrs].

After reading article, I'm going to try again to psychologically train my mind not to crave evening snacking. I think then I'll have great control of my diet.

My office did a Biggest Loser Contest and I joined to win. I tried Dr. Ian's fat smash diet and joined Celebrity Fit Club online for exercise routines and meal plans. I lost a total of 14 lbs in 6 weeks. Although I had success with the program, the cost of the membership was not worth the money especially since the exercise plan did not change. Needlesstosay, that didn't help me when I began to plateau. I won the Biggest Loser at work and canceled my Celebrity Fit Club membership.

As some of the other commentors noted, there is a wealth of free information online that will help you get the same results. Portion control and daily exercise always get results. Other good resources are Self and Oxegen magazine; they have great workouts and meal plans.

Stay positive and keep it moving.

I just started dieting again - following a low calorie diet, cut out fatty foods and sodas. I am eating very healthy, walking everyday and feel better. To curb my appetite I drink a slimfast shake, and take Xenadrine. The keys to my diet is excercise, nutrition, and responsibility. I use a free online journal to track my meals and excercise. This allows me to make sure I don't have more calories than I should, and tells me my progress.

Everyone is different, so I think that's why diets do not always work for everyone. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor and try a few different methods.

Good luck everyone!

some diets work

I recommend eating healthy! I've seen so many overweight people, including myself, lately. I tend to eat late at night but I try and stay active throughout the day for the most part. I find most diets to be quite rediculous. Why pay for someone to tell me how much and what to eat? It's really not hard. Take care of your body and watch what you eat! I saw on Oprah and Dr. Oz about the new Acai berry diet so I tried it out. I won't lie, I really do feel Great! I've only been eating them for just over a week and I can say that I do see a positive change in my body figure as well. All things said I truly believe this is a fantastic new way to improve health and lose weight. I recommend at least reading up on this new health craze!

Have you gone thru 3 treatments or 3 12 month batteries of treaments? I had to go thru 2 year long batteries of treatments,

before reaching success with interferon. Are you on peg intron alpha 2-b and rebetol,or pegasus? With your weight pegasus will not cure you.You have to take a ton of Rebetol.Ask your doctor to increase your Rebetol dosage,That is key! My doc had me on 6 to 8 rebetol a day.I know how it feels to be in that sick state.

Hep C takes no prisoners. It is a nasty illness anhd wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!I was over 260 when i stared treatments, and shot up to 300 lbs. I am now down to 200 lbs.

If your doc is giving you a newer treatment, have him or her put you on peg alpha 2-b.Don't worry about the fatty liver disease,

that is common with hep-c and you'll have that the rest of your life. There is no known way of losing fat in your liver.

If your doc insists on keeping you on a newer method, either request peg intron,or find a doc who will put you on it.

If you are drinking alcohol at ALL! Stop,it's kills the meds.

Stop drinking soda, high fructose corn sweeteners, junk food, bread, anything that has high gluten white flour in it.

Start drinking more water,or tea, black, orange pecoe,or green teas, clense your system, and make the meds more effective.

You also have to control your diabetes,I know it's hard,I am diabetic, and I was to the point where my endocronologist wanted to put an insulin pump in me.I was on Humalin R 500,annd stopped

because I fund out it was on the FDA's 10 most dangerous drugs list. Now I am no longer insulin dependant.I control it by diet.

I am still at 200 lbs and have been for 5 months now.

I am not going to tell you what to do,but I have walked a mile in your shoes. You can take my advice,or ignore it.Thats your call.If you have anyone in your life who cares about you,or you care abou them,if not for yourself, keep yourself alive for their

sake!
