I urge my clients, now more than ever, to NOT stop their personal training, as the worst thing that can happen to them, besides less income, is poor health.

I urge them to perhaps, make their one hour sessions, a half hour, with a commitment to me to continue for at least 15 mins after i leave. I urge them to cut out some other, not as life enhanching luxuries, ie, cleaning services, dog walkers, trips to the coffee counters, etc, and think more about their well being.

It would mentally be their worst time to get unhealthy as the mind/body connection is so strong and now, they need to be clearer than ever on how to weather this recession.

I also urge them to do things, like have one phone session a week, at a cheaper rate to keep them mentally strong and encouraged.

I have been a very successful fitness trainer/group exercise instructor (and yes, i urge them to train in small groups) for over 20 years. Have won NY State All Natural Competitions in my fifties and have developed trust from my clients, and have proved to be honest and make results happen. Laurie Sperandio
