Article writes:

"A study published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association

suggests your weight-loss willpower can get a boost from financial incentives, for example."

But when you click on the AMA link it takes you to a bunch of weight loss products for sale. SCAM! Very disappointing for a US News report.

Where is this report by the AMA on willpower? I googled it and can find nothing.

Bookmarked this. Sometimes non-standard due to you looking for sharing. Definitely advantage my time.

The good adds up as fast as the bad. I like this article. Use mental Kung Fu on yourself. Actually visualize a fighter leaping into a loud defensive stance when confronted with the stale status quo. Bark out short incisive counterattacks. For instance, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

Damn I wish I had said that.

This article left out the most important factor in developing a strong will to achieve any goal. Will power depends on creating a very clear intention - a plan of action with specific goals. This intention must be personal and deeply rooted in what you believe and want. Then you must harness the passionate energy, become aware of the potential rewards and/or punishments (for failure) at which point you embark on your journey of achievement.

This deep internal sense of your mission, what you intend to accomplish is the most important part of exercising your will power. For more info refer to my website or book Positive Directions. TakePositiveDirections. com
