Lance Armstrong Is Back! How He Knew He Was Ready to Race Again

I'm a typical American.

For the past two years I didn't watch one stage of the tour de France.

When Lance was racing I would set my alarm and watch the live coverage at 4:30am. Every stage.

And to respond to the first post... He turned the Tour De France into the most boring stage race ever.... hahah if you call the highest ratings the tour de France has ever seen "boring" I think there are a couple million people who disagree with you.

Chase your passion.. Rock on!

In response to the last comment...

Well it's a good thing your opinions are your opinions because there are some of us who believe what he is saying (at the end of that article). Maybe you don't believe that doing what you love to do is necessary, but it is for some of us. It's what makes life fun, and exciting. Being able to accomplish something challenging, and coming out with an outcome you can be proud of.

I never used to watch the Tour de France. It was just another of the many sports out there. But there was just something about what Lance did. He was a true champion, fighting from cancer to winning the Tour seven straight years. Something that I doubt will be broken any time soon.

I was a music student over a year ago at the University of Connecticut on clarinet. I was by no means the best, but I could hold my own. I had to work twice as hard as the average musician to get half the result. Why? Because I loved the work. The work motivated me to work harder, to get better. I loved doing it, and I continue to work hard after college. It's something that I will cherish for the rest of my life...

Thank you Katherine Hobson for writing this article!

The worst bit of news possibel for the cycling World.

He turned the Tour De France into the most boring stage race ever. Does he really want to come back to do it all over again.

Promote his cancer concerns by all means, but please not by killing any bit of unpredictability in a superb sport.

Lance you have retired, now find something else to do and get on with it.
