Obesity is the "disease" of the weak.

Learn how to eat healthy, and clean.

Quit succumbing to Wendy's and McDonalds and maybe you wouldn't be so fat.

Gary Taubes OWNS you Katherne. You are clueless about the causs of obesity.

Obesity is a disease of adipose cell dysregulation. There is much more scientific evidence for this than the behavioral hypothesis.

Look up lipodystrophy. As one looks at the photos Gary Taubes presents, you can't escape the conclusion that differential accumulation of fat cannot be explained by total caloric intake.

I am wondering how many calories burned by power walking for awhile and than sprinting for a tiny bit, for about 8 miles..... does it do any good to do this? Should I just stick with speed walking , or does the sprinting do any good?

Katherine Hobson: Short answer: yes. Adding some high intensity work into your longer routine is a great idea. For the long(er) answer, look for my summer fitness story online next week and in the print magazine on June 30.

I feel like I've spent my whole life ALMOST in shape, ALMOST healthy, but haven't quite been able to get to that place where I'm really psyched about my body. I've tried every diet and workout routine...anyone have anything else I might try?
