The Weight Is Gone. How to Keep It Off

Hey. Well. Odd as it may sound, I'm only 14 years old. In contrast you were 18 and thought you needed to loose weight. Honestly, I don't suppose I'm 'over weight', I weight 147 lbs and have a height of 5'7 1/2. Yet, I still suppose that getting rid of 20 lbs from by thighs and butt would be lovely. I really believe I can loose the weight wuick and easy with the Hollywood Diet, but I'm terrified of gaining it back int he course of one week. I will keep researching and I promsie. I'll go to 125, and stay at 125.

Katherine Hobson: I'd urge you to talk to a doctor or a nutritionist about whether you need to lose weight and if so, how to do it safely and in a way that will be permanent. Any diet at all that promises quick and easy weight loss is lying to you. It's not quick (a pound a week is a reasonable goal) and if it were easy, no one would be overweight. I am also personally skeptical of diets that encourage you to subsist on one food or drink product (like some kind of diet juice) or to eliminate any broad category of nutrients (carbs, fat, protein). So please, get to a doc before you start trying to lose weight.

Ms. Hobson,

After swallowing my fear (and way too many peanut M&Ms), I decided to post a picture of my fat self on Flickr. Every day for eight weeks, I'd photograph what I ate and nearly weekly I'd post pictures of myself in my boxers. I keep this brief. The frequent monitoring and encouragement from my Flickr friends kept me motivated.
