I would like to share my experience with a heart valve problem. I was having some palpitations since my childhood, but was considering it as normal. It never came to my mind that anything that is going on is only happening to me. As time passed, the severity of the palpitations and its frequency increased noticeably. At some points, it went to my extremes. I then searched over the internet sharing my experience, and at that point of time, I was surprised to know that this was something that I shouldn’t be ignoring. Then I came across a medical provider company providing eConsultation. I consulted their experts regarding my situation and I was suggested to have my cardio scans done. On my first ECG test, it came to me as a surprise that I was not having a proper heart beat rhythm. It was arrhythmic, and non sinusoidal. I was doubted to be having sinus tachycardia. Then on my further advance diagnosis, like CT scan, MRI, Echo test and stress test, it was found that one of my left valve was deformed, and was not closing completely while beating. But still, it was not to the extent that I require a valve replacement. I then was warned regarding the degradation in accordance with time, so I joined their wellness program where I am in their constant contact with the experts. I have to have all my basic tests monthly, and then quarterly. I am right now having a deformed valve, but still leading a quite healthy life. I just need to take care is to have immediate medications whenever I am facing any heart problem, which I am able to do because of elite health’s e consultation facility. I would like to thank my heart for relentlessly working so hard and faithfully even though having a deformation. This seems to be odd for someone to understand, but one with such a heart can better understand the value of heart.

I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure on August 12, 2008 in an emergency room in Orlando, Fl. After years of inactivity and abusing my body with no exercise and food that for sure was not good for me. I had shortness of breath my legs body was filling up with fluid. My heart was racing at over 120 beats per minute and no significantly readable blood pressure was found. I stayed in the hospital for the next 10 days getting the fluid removed and blood pressure back to normal. I was 311 lbs when I entered the hospital left at 255 lbs. I was also diagnosed with diabetes (345 sugar level) My ejection factor was under 20%. I was determined to get my body back in shape and treat it and my heart with the respect they deserve. Through exercise abd diet on 12/2 an echocardigram showed by ejection factor back to normal (55%). Weight now is 198 - 20 lbs to go. Sugar level averages around 98 (A1c = 5.3%), still on a small dose of insulin. I am 57 and wanted to live much longer. The heart is special and must be treated as such. Sorry for being long winded but I hope my comments get other people to treat and respect their bodies.

I am an adult with congenital heart disease. Let's hear it for hearts, damaged and not, that work ceaslessly to propel us through this thing called life!
