I am a person whom in this product manufacturer. I know these business how to run clearly. For the profit, the brokers even big or samll buy these material from chinese trade company or packing manufacturer. But most of them only know how to earn the profit, since they always suppress the price, not to know how to control the quality. In these commercial links, whom really earn the money, not the really manufactures, even the rural small plants.Because the collecting price for them are so lower. So,they always try their best to do all adulterated things.Of course, there lack of necessity and effective supervision for them. The brokers , the packings , they are earner. For more than 10 years experience , I Know there are the way. But not so simply , not possible to resolve permanent by the governments or any of the organizations. need the wise and ability person to do these things whom have the professional technology, have the rich experience in these products, but first of all whom should be chinese. For the foreigners, have not these capacity to control it or trace it. In these field , my personal opinion is there urgently need to disucss a new business model then can solution it.

Hundreds of thousands of people have lost jobs recently due to the economy. Why doesn't Baxter and other pharmaceutical companies set up operations in America to obtain these drugs in a manner that they can have control over. The solution seems rather simple.

Jay of XX: THANK YOU. Your wise comment has inspired me. And it IS wise-Pharmacuetical corporations don't care about anything but profits. Look at their incredibly agressive marketing of new medications. Look at how acores of children are diagnosed as having ADD and given strong medications at an early age. In my day, ADD was called a short attention span-usually attributed to a child spending too much time watching television-or a lack of discipline. Flush the pills, turn off the TV, and remember that being a parent requires discipline(non-violent, of course) with love. That principle is far better than a TV, DVD player, iPod, Bose stereo, etc. for each child.

As for anything manufactured in China...a Communist government cares for nothing but iron control. As a student of Foreign Relations, I took study tours behind what was the Iron Curtain. The air, water, and soil pollution combined with overall filth is beyond my power to describe.

kdd: I'm sorry you have suffered from DVP,and that in addition to Heparin's side effects you have to worry about contaminated medication. I have had DVT three times as a result of IV misshaps in hospitals. With respect and empathy may I suggest asking your physician for Fondaparinux? It seems to work well w/fewer side effects than Heparin, I wish you the best, and please pardon me if my suggestion is inappropriate.

As an individual that has suffered for years with recurrent DVTs, I certainly don't want to place any medicine in my veins that originates in China. The country's track rate for the safety of American's has proven to be sketchy, with lead paint in our kids toys, melamine in formula, and deadly chemicals in pet food etc. Why our government continues to import anything from China is a mystery to me!

Now that we know what happened are the adulterators of the drug being held accountable? What is the Chinese government doing about the people in their country that caused all these deaths? Is Baxter being held accountable for not controlling the quality?

I don't want any of the drugs I take being made in China - even if I have to pay more. I suspect however that the cost savings of cheap and shoddy manufacturing in China are not being passed on to me as a consumer anyway. The extra profit is just going into corporate coffers.

Congress needs to do something to stop the outsourcing of drug manufacturing to China because the greedy sobs that run these corporations don't give a damn.

make the drug only in America even if it is more costly because the complications from bad drugs and their costs will more than make up the difference
