Last November my husband fell 6 feet backwards onto a cement slab. There were multiply breaks in the back and he was air lifted to the medical center that did the surgery. Infection set in while in rehab. He went back to the Hosp. was opened up and scraped, cut out the infection. While on Cefephine for 45 days he developed a pressure in the front of his head and as time has gone on it has increased until he can no longer function. We have been to multiple specialists. The last resort was the spine clinic in Daly City CA. The doctors to not know why the head feels pressure, dizziness and spacy/out of body feelings. They suggested an Ear Nose and Throat doctor. We are at our out of options. The symptoms are getting worse and there is no answer. Where do we go from here?

I have been having symptoms sort of like Cherry's. I go to the ER when it flares up and am sent home, made to feel as I am a hypochondriac, and actually laughed at sometimes, by ER Personnel. For years now, no correct diagnosis. The numbness on the right side comes and goes when I am especially fatigued, I have a flare up of the numbness on the right side, pain in the head, (mis-diagnosed as a headache, migraine and the dizziness was mis-diagnosed as vertigo). I do not drive anymore and live with my son and his fiancee as I have not worked in 2 and a half years. The fatigue, light headedness, dizziness, pain in the head, numbness in the extremeties and the "vertigo" lighten up sometimes, but then, comes back. New symptom, tightness around right thigh, then the numbness.

I am hoping some doctor will read this and take on the challenge.

Thank you,

Here is a novel idea, why not take your healthcare into your own hands.

folks, do not act like lemmings. It's your life.

What good is the right diagnosis if once you are diagnosed, then you are told that any corrective surgery would not be covered by the Insurance. I have two children that can not live a normal life now, but I have to wait until they get worse before the Insurance will pay for surgery. Or better yet my one child has pain everyday 24-7 and there is nothing we can do but put her on medication.
