My daughter Lauren passed away after a 2 1/2 year battle with a brain tumor. )Gangloglioma) There is so little known and so little being done in the area's of research in this area. While brain tumors are recognized as being most difficult to treat at all ages, it is ashame that the medical community and the federal goverment do not allocate more dollars to research.
One always second guesses...did we go to the right hospital, did we have the right doctors...but now all of that is the (would have should have could have syndrome)
While nothing will bring my daughter back, I know I can advocate for better research in this area, and hopefully see the day when not just brain tumors, but all cancer is wiped out in both children and adults.

Most patients with brain tumors even when successfully resectioned will have a recurrence and die. We need more meds for our kids. My little girl died within six months of diagnosis. She went from walking, talking and playing to limping, then not talking, trouble swallowing, unable to use her left side, drooling and finally unconsicuousness for 11 days till death. Help save our kids. We need more awareness, more meds, more research.

Brain tumors are deadly for most kids. My daughter died from one. She had nf1 then a deadly inoperabe brain tumor. Little meds are available for brain tumors and most havent been tested in kids. The % of money for pediatric tumor research is so little compared to how much goes to pediatric aids (while more kids die from cancer each year) and breast cancer. Our kids are dying and no one cares. Everday children are diagnosed with cancer and everyday a child dies from a brain tumor or lukemia.

Steve goes to my school. It's one of the most amazing comeback stories that I've ever read.

It's inspiring to hear your story and others who have been helped by Dr. Jallo since our 11-year-old grandson has sugery for removal of brain tumor by Dr. Jallo on Thurs, July 24.
We need all the prayers and good reports possible. To learn more about what Seth is facing and for updates, he has a blog at sethgood.blogspace.com

My 6 year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor "craniopharyngioma". We live inupsate NY where we were told they could not operate. After many days of research on the internet we truely found what my daughter calls him "THE VERY BEST DOCTOR IN THE WHOLE WORLD" Dr. George Jallo at Johns Hopkins! I can not say enough to even begin to make anyone understand how amazing he is. His personalaty is out of this world as well as his skills as a neurosurgeon. I thank god for what he has done for my daughter every day! He is an Angel!

Dear Steven:
I've never met you, but have heard a lot about you. My daughters and I pray for you. I was told that a group of people prayed over you when you were diagnosed. I believe you received a MIRACLE as a gift from God through Dr. Jallo. My daughters and I, and a lot of neighbors of yours are so pleased with your results. We feel it is actual proof that GOD DOES provide miracles. Bless You!

I have never met you, Steven, or your family, but your story touched my heart and I have told everybody about you. After an e-mail I sent your Mom, she and I have corresponded very often and I am on the list of updates about you and your blog.
Our prayers were answered and we are so grateful for that. . .you have amazed everybody in going the distance. . .I hope to someday meet all of you. . .
God's blessings to you and all your family.
