I got cancer ALL to be exact and I was 13 so it was a high- risk case but kids tend to fair better than adults but I was put up for adoption because my parents did not want to see me die but I am now 15 and cancer free the point is do not give up on your kids they can make it with the right treatment as for hospitals I went to Children's hospital of Philly (CHOP) and they have exalent care.

my 14 year old daughter is suffering from Osteosacoma with secondary tumours on her lungs after 3 operations the tumours have returned our consultant at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge England uk said they cant do anymore for her.can you help we would travel anywhere in the world and money is not a prblem please reply with your thoughts on this.

Hi my daughter is nine months old she was born eight weeks early with severe hyperinsulinimia. At six weeks old she was diagnosed with Thymus hyperplasia, she had no symptoms untill six months of age when it started pushing on her lungs, airway, and heart. That is when they did some biopsys and showed it was normal thymus tissue. The docs in philladelphia starte her on a corse of steroids and her thymus shrunk to a more normal size. Once she got off the steroids it grew back, she is curently on another dose of steroids and the docs in michigan are planning to remove it. IS THERE ANYONE IN THE WORLD THE WORLD THAT HAS SEEN THIS AND DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SURGEN THAT WOULD BE REALLY COMFORTABLE WITH THIS SURGERY....

There is presently a baby boy of two(2)weeks old in Antigua West Indies. He was born with a heart defect where the oxygen going to his heart is limited due to a blockage of a tube. I am seeking help for my friends who is in need of an expert doctor in the US to take on the huge task of performing an operation on the baby. Presently te baby is at the Mount St John Medical Center in the childrens section. We currently have a 2 month old son who was born with Gastroschisis. He has been being treated at UNC Chapel Hill hospitals for the past 2 months but we contuniue to have many difficulties with the facility and there continue to be many problems with his past surgeries and no real end in sight. I am looking for a surgeon and facility that 1) specializes in the treatment of these babies and 2) comes highly recommended for a second opinion and with the possibility of a transfer. Any ideas?
