I come from a country where we donot brandish guns or own them for our personal protection. Or do we have gun lobby promoting guns for protection. The present scenario with health insurance American Policy- implementation becomes a hard nut to crack without cracking the patient's too personal records on the click of a mouse. It is like wearing your name tatooed on your forehead. It is very sad to witness a biology professor killing staff members in a staff meeting whose health history was not taken care of.Here the family physician or the university campus doctor ...keeping the gun's rights others become the canvass for the bullets shot from such an angry professor. My medical secrets are mine as long as it does not affect others. Patient's confidentiality and physician's responsibility now seem to rest on the net- yes everybody needs an insurance not a health insurance but a life insurance

The only Reason I see that Electronic Records are ok. Would be Going to the ER late at night. If you are being treated by your PCP, and under prescription use for specific illness. Then The ER would be well served to prevent mistreatment of your problem. But there is NO way the records could be protected as well as sitting on a shelf at he doctors office. IE; VA records lost by electronic theft.,Credit card company hacked 100,00 records. etc. As for the GUN thining I was ready to tell anyone about the 105MM howitzer in my back yard. (Oh I forgot no back yard). For now and after MA election go GOP.

Folks, if you think for a minute that your Medical history is safe think again.
Next time you run into a medical attorney, ask them what they think of HIPPA.
HIPPA does not safeguard your stuff, but pretty much gives it away.

You fools are just too stupid to know any better, look at all the trash that the left media has spewed about Bush and Cheney which is 99% bs and you bought it. IF you really think that the health care bill is about providing "every PERSON in the United States" medical attention then so be it. It just ain't so. If for one brief moment you consider that they were doing good in that they provided YOU and I with a safe country then you just might get it. Bahama has done nothing BUT lie. Try reading something other than Obermans trash. have you actually ever listened to Rush? For real? you actually listened to him? Sure ya did and Democrats and Republicans are all the same. NOPE.
If for one second you can consider that the media is bias to the left, then there fore you MUST know that they are feeding you full of crap. But for what reason? To CONtrol You. Tax every thing, air, farts, tampax, millage of travel and God knows what else. Is anything left to tax? "shutters on your windows" that keep out the sun???? Figure that one out..................................................

With the current system, a patient who tells their doctor everything has much to lose--access to health care! The insurance companies are scouring your records looking for an excuse to drop you if you require care or for reasons not to insure you in the first place. While I'm not saying that privacy in and of itself is not a worthy cause, the system we have now results in far more serious consequences when medical history is shared.

In regards to public health and infectious disease, I understand that haitians are asymptomatic HIV carriers. Though they lead normal lives with the virus, they can infected others and this will result in the HIV disease.

I have worked in healthcare for 30 years and know for a fact that the most secret of items will be disclosed in error. We have everything to worry about with records on line and available to God knows who? Hackers are good. Law suits will soar! HIPPA fines will ruin many hospitals?
This madness needs to be stopped and we need to get back to basics.
Medical Records: Stored in the Cloud, Sold on the Open Market
electronic-health-records
When patients visit a physician or hospital, they know that anyone involved in providing their health care can lawfully see their medical records.
But unknown to patients, an increasing number of outside vendors that manage electronic health records also have access to that data, and are reselling the information as a commodity.
