Growing up African American many of these are in my diet from an early age. Having Lived in the SW I have added avocado, black beans, pinto beans, mexican papaya and mangos. Always ate collard greens, leafy green lettuces, spinach, brocolli, green beans, peas, yams, beets, onions every week! Living in the Pacific NW I enjoy fresh fish as well as canned fish: Salmon, tuna, shrimp, catfish, clams, mussels are on my menu each month also.

I have youthful skin and I get mistaken as 15 years younger and I'm now 49yo! And this age mistake has been happening for decades! Except for a few gray hairs I'm a mistery age to most. Yeah it takes time to prepare these foods but it's not only about skin, I am trying to avoid cancer and other health issues by doing this.

Start early and keep at it even when it's inconvient grab frozen and canned items from the list over fast food.

Great article! It was very informative and who knew these foods can help improve your skin! There is this great recipe database on the Natural Standard website that includes many of the foods listed. The website also offers information on other natural alternative therapies. Check out the website to learn more!

When I used to get samples from sites like "Official Samples" I would spend about $120 a week I thought that was good because I always shopped at Safeway and my receipt said I had saved 18 percent.
