I've been on medications for my blood pressure and cholesterol for over 12 years and now after heart valve surgery there's a shoe box full of medications, supplements, antidepressants some thing for every thing they could think of. One month I'm a type 2 diabetic 6-5 months later I'm not first I'm on insulin then I no longer need it. They haven't figured that one out yet.
There's no drive or motivation and sex is out of the question I can't salute any more. I think the antidepressants are to counter act the fear of having to take so many different medications. As if facing your own mortality wasn't hard enough now your worried that if you miss taking one of the drugs there's no telling what might happen.
If they fixed my problem, which definately would have killed me, why do I need all this medication. I was in great shape one month, with a clean bill of health, 2 months later I'm at deaths door step with a Doctor a little older than my grandchildren opening me up like a can of tuna and now I'm totally disabled with an uncertain future.
It seems that when ever I bring up dropping or reducing my medications it's looked at as a depression problem with issues that only changing medications or increasing the dosage of others will counter act my issues!
The only issues I have are with all my medications and I'd really like to enjoy some company before it's too late.

If people had healthy life habits none of these so called "life-extending" drugs will be needed. People just aren't aware what they are eating, say nothing about bad habit such as smoking, long-term sitting posture and etc.
