Why do you focus so much on the negative aspects of these natural remedies? You should be informing the public of how many over the counter drugs cause dangerous side affects. You should be informing the public of how dangerous many of the drugs that are being prescribed these days. Why focus on fringe herbal remedies that never if rarely cause side effects. Medicine has killed more people in any one of the last 10 years than all herbal remedies in those same 10 years combined. Why scare people? It makes you seem like a protective agent for the medical industry. You do not want our culture to seek a better more independent approach.

The truth is doctors and pharmaceutical companies operate in unison to promote the use of prescribed drugs to generate billions of dollars in income. I have been in the medical field for 20 years and can assure you that doctor's receive significant perks from pharm reps to prescribe the newest drugs that cost the consumer the most. Naturally therefore Doctors will not promote the usage of low cost, highly effective natural cures that have been used for centuries.

Ok, here I go again. This article is another intentional bias origen. If I am a (hale ?) bloke who has an irrifutable medical testimony by a regimen of particular supplements them Ms Miller is in turn unqualified to report on substantiated scientific facts rather she is satisfied to submit unsubstantiated quack material. I challenge Ms Miller to pick at random 1 to 100 human beings who are medically diagnosed with a minor or major health issue who are on a Doctors care with a host of prescriptions and randomly submit them to a professionally licensed Supplement manufacturer of the one percent even and you will find a very high consistant superior efficacy result from the supplement over the inducement of chemicals a Doctor forces a patient to take as gospel. This simply shows your bias.

The problem is most doctors no nothing about what vitamins can do & even less about herbal supplements. Most are even afraid of them but won't tell their patients. Herbal supplements are no more dangerous than prescription drugs. The difference is if you take low dosage of an herbal & not mix with other meds., it's doubtful they'll kill you. This can't be said for mega lists of side-effects &/or death on many prescriptions.

Objective evidence is always best but hard to get and even harder to define. pharmaceutical studies are funded by pharmaceutical companies, they only publish the ones that make their drug look good no matter how many studies are done(publication bias). To get FDA approval all that is needed is to prove outcomes better than placebo, which typicaly runs 25-30%. Most antdepressants for example give you 28-37% efficacy, thats a lot of side effects for 7%. Herbals have mixed evidence depending on the herb, but much less publication bias. Many have great evidence and are underused. Research everything you consume. EXERCISE!

I tried Chia seeds and had a really bad reaction to them. I had severe bloating, lots of gastrointestinal distress, a major headache, and nausea. These symptoms lasted for 4 days. I did a web search on adverse side effects for chia seeds, and the articles I found listed all the above symptoms. I watch Dr Oz on t.v. all the time, and that's why I decided to try them. Just because something is natural doesn't means it's safe for everyone.

This article is the same old BS doctors have been shoveling out for decades. Huge amount of information on the benefits of healthful eating and vitamin/mineral supplements from foodmatters.tv. Also watch the video "Food Matters" (available online and on Netflix). About an hour long, but worth every second.

These gems of articles are humorous. Keep putting them out. Plenty of peer reviewed studies on these herbs with quite positive outcomes. Do your homework .

Mayo Clinic disagrees with US News - at least regarding St. John's Wort. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/st-johns-wort/NS_patient-stjohnswort

Vitamins and supplements are good for you unlike prescription medication that kill people because all the pharmaceutical company is a fraud. The new world order people want to remove the vitamins and supplements because they want to kill the people. The agenda of these evil people is to kill 95% of the people.
