Diabetes and heart disease runs in the family, I know about low glycemic, low fat, low calorie diets. With all the info out there how do you work up a decent menu plan on a really low food budget on a fixed income? It seems to me, all the bad foods for our disease are the cheapest ones. How do you get around that? What words of wisdom do you have and believe me when I say I need some, I am perfectly serious. And that's why I can't follow nutrition guidelines.

This whole industry is loaded with contradictory recommendations and most sites like this only repeat the simple "everybody knows" items. There has yet been generated a list of foods that contain a low Glycemic Index as well as a low Insulinic index. You can't even find a good definition for the latter term and yet, many websites throw the term around like they know what they are talking about.
Get with it scientists. We diabetics want to stay healthy but the food industry is loaded with "low fat" foods that are high in sugar or "sugar free" foods that are high in fat.

would love to have a seven day menu for diabetics which incorporates all the food groups, and good foods for diabetics.
Telling me about the good foods, doesn,t cut it.
I need a meal by meal, day by day planned menu guide.

This message says nothing, I already know. you need a list of foods. Just alot of nothing what a waste of time. You need to do research yourself before , trying to educate the public.

What good foods is she talking about. What foods should we avoid or substitue. Not and eductional letter.

The title says "7 Ways to Maintain a Healthy Type 2 Diabetes Diet" and after wasting 10 mins of reading time, I find nothing has been suggested really. What is mentioned here, just everyday common sense rote mention of already known info., some 10,000 ft philosophical view of Type 2 Diabetes. nothing concrete. Can we avoid publishing this kind of crap?

I tried reading the article but stopped....It's just too wordy...too boring. I could not (even with the subject matter) get interested in the article.
Should try writing it again and give the important facts. Not all the other crap in it. I don't care who said what just or where they work or what study said what about what. JUST THE FACTS. You can put the who, what and where at the end. Make it short, to the point and be done. TWO PAGES of blah blah blah and probably only about one thrid of that is what the TITLE is about!
