I know of more and more people who are beig diagnosed with ciliac disease. It is irriated by consuming wheat products, which is a major source of our food in this country. Anyone suffering with varying degrees of loose stools would do well to have this checked. There is testing available for this condition. Ignoring the problem can lead to general organ damage, I've been told.

To prevent diarrhoea or traveller’s diarrhoea, there are few words to always bear in mind: COOK IT, BOIL IT, PEEL IT, OR AVOID IT! Since ingestion of contaminated food is the number one cause of acquiring TD, and there are numerous ways of possibly getting them, taking precautionary measures on the food that you consume is a simple step that can take you a long way. Many people who take Travelan have a diarrhoea free trip and have significantly less cramps and symptoms. I have had chronic diarrhea for a few years now. At times it is worst than others. I have very little control. I am wearing depends. I take Prevalite but not everyday. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. It, diarrhea, can happen seven times in a row, a few minutes apart, if that.

Now I am having these little perfect squares discharged with the diarrhea. There is usually only one at a time. They are covered with a tan or so mucus. I took a q-tip and pressed on one. It looked like it was full of medicine. This is so strange and I have no idea of what it is.

Do you have any idea? Thank you for your support and help.

I have diabetes II. I take 10 ml of insulin twice a day. My problem is that after eating, I develop gas which blows out my colon with only a few minutes notice-- which usually ends up in a mess, for I have no rectal control. I am 82 years of age.

Immodium helps but the control is difficult as after many times taking the tablets it ends in constipation. My doctor is having me take a heaping teaspoon of Psyllium Hyrophilic Muciloid Fiber Therapy (compate to Metamucil) once a day. But this also gives an irregular result.

Any solutions? Thanks
