All the happiness and luck go out to them. That said I certainly hope that her and her family can afford this and not become a burden on the tax payers, they wanted these children not us.

I host the internet radio show Creating a Family: Talk about Infertility and Adoption. The Jan. 14 Creating a Family show was on multiple births in infertility treatment. Our guest was one of the leading infertility specialist and researcher in this field, Dr. Robert Stillman. Contrary to what is being reported, I strongly suspect this multiple birth is the result of injectible ovulation stimulating drugs used with intra-uterine insemination (IUI) where the sperm are released near the opening of the cervix, rather than the result of in vitro fertilization where 8 embryos were transferred to the woman’s uterus. We discussed the pros and cons and dangers of both procedures at length on the Jan. 14 Creating a Family show. (www.CreatingaFamily.com ). The primary advantage of an IUI with injectible drugs is cost, and we are now reading about the primary disadvantage. Thank God, the children appear to be relatively healthy, but I would caution that it is way too early to determine the long term health of these children. Recent research, which is reviewed at www.CreatingaFamily.com, points to the lifelong consequences of prematurity.

I cannot, for the life of me comprehend why this woman would want to have more children, when in fact she already had SIX. How in the world is she supposed to support and provide for all of them. Oh, I know, she will put out her hand and people will be so happy to give her money and whatever else the newborns need. Not me I would not give her anything, exceptI might chiop in to pay to have her sterilized.
I know the area she live in, in is made up of modest 2 and 3 bedroom homes, with 2 bathrooms at the most. Absolutely disgusting, how 17 people-kids, mother, grandparents- are going to live in one house.
And why would a woman who already had 6 children take fertility drugs. I thought woman who couldn't get pregnant used drugs to help them.
Where is a man a father, a dad if you will in this picture. A child needs to have a dad their for them. The best thing that could happen to these children, is for them to be taken away from their mother, and adopted out to families that are in a position to provide for them.
How is the familuy gong to give them the food, clothing, car seats- the list never ends. I am sure that people who can barely cover their own expenses, will open their wallets to a family that simply does not deserve it.

It is wonderful to hear that ALL the babies survived and are doing so well. Congratulations to the Mum of the babies. I have just had twins and I thought that having two in my belly was enough you must fell wonderful that the babies are OUT and doing so well. What a true blessing to have these children in your life. Well done.

First off, congratulations on the safe and joyous birth of 8 beautiful babies. I hope all is well with the mother as well as all the babies. Goodness there is quite a feat ahead for this couple. Good luck to you both!

Okay really whom ever you are (Rose of NY). You have no right to say the things that you have said. This was a choice that this family has made and no-one has the right to belittle anyone else. You can have your uneducated thoughts but keep them to your self.
Yes it will be hard for this family but I'm sure all those babies will have all the love in the world. God bless and good luck.

what you an animal having a litter of babies. I think its gross and degrading for you as a couple. This world is already overpopulated enough! Eight is too many! Your quality of life will suffer and so will your childrens. What is wrong with you! There are so many unwanted children in this world already!

i dont know if having 8 children is
the right thing to do. i know i wouldn't like
having 7 other kids share the same birthday with me.
it would certainly be hard to afford that many kids.
and you would have to make sure you love and take care equally
every child. good luck to you. :)
