just to add to what I have already written.My daughter is not having botox every three months now. the gap is getting bigger between each treatment as the migraines become less and less. which means the body is getting use to not having them. Which the botox doctor did say could happen. Also the difference between botox working for her and not for me apparantly means that her migraines are stress related and mine are not. Mine are hormonal and hopefully will go after menopause.

I was on Botox study then under insurance coverage of Botox with great relief. When I changed jobs 4 1/2 yrs ago, new insurance will not cover Botox and have been suffering since. I am praying for the day that FDA approves use and insurance will cover. It was like flipping off a light switch for me.

I have tried several tripans for migraines. I have had migraines so bad that my body became allergic to the tripan medications because of my extended use. My insurance company (Anthem Blue Cross) used to cover Botox injections for migraines but now has ceased that coverage. I feel when you have an allergy to typical migraine medications the insurance companies should make an exception and pay for the Botox. I have had excellent sucess with my migraines with the Botox.

Assume the placement of the Botox is critical. The forehead seems like the ideal place. Any comments?

Im 14 years old and ive had migrains sence i was about 8 i hate them so much but i wouldnt get botox to ease my migrains idc if it helps i wouldnt do it!

Botox has almost completely halted my migrane headaches- way better than the script. meds my doctor gave me,which had it's own weird side affects..

My daughter is 23 and suffers from migrains as I do. She now has botox every 3 months and has no more migrains
I tried it too but it was not as successful with me.
