Not sure how you can write about the health effects of 9/11 without bring up the EPA and White House failure to protect its citizens. The EPA wrote an initial report on the dangerous toxins in the air at ground zero immediately following the attacks. The findings of the report were completely reversed by the White House, who was more concerned about re-opening Wall St than giving ground zero rescue workers the truth about the dangers they were being exposed to. Hundreds have already died, thousands are ill, and over the next several decades, more will have died from this completely preventable catastrophe than died in the actual attacks.

Christie Todd Whitman is a felon, and any serious discussion of the lasting health impacts of 9/11 should not avoid this gross criminal negligence on the part of both the White House and EPA.
