A lot of you anti-drug(sex) types like to refer to the "founding father's" and the Constitution for your support. The next time you "toss" your child's room looking for drugs just think about those founding fathers spinning in their grave over the supreme violation of rights by allowing someone else to decide what goes into your body! Why not just call it what it is: slavery!

I have been smoking pot since i was 12 in boy scouts. And i now have a really high tolerance but i know that coke and E are bad drugs and i use my own willpower to not try to get a more intense high.( drinking is to intense anyways) your kids were probaly going to try E or get completly wasted anyways its not the plants fault. The thing is tell them your concerns and say ''people can smoke pot everyday for the rest of their lives because its not going to kill you... but noone can take coke/E/acholhol/any other mind altering substance evryday and live to a ripe old age.
and i bet all your kids went to church before they did drugs. ¿Christianity the gateway religion anyone?

Alot, usually it starts with smoking a joint here and there at a party with friends and before you know it they are smoking all the time. Then when they no longer get the same hight from the pot they move on to something a little stronger, and the cycle continues until......Your standing at he hospital or morgue identifying your child or other family member. I have never understood the sentiments of some who say "oh its just a little pot, no harm done". Wrong it's never just a little pot.

Depression has lead many people I know to pot, If your teenager told you they didnt feel like facing the world without smoking pot then why stop them? is it worth their life.

My son has gone from pot to E to much harder drugs until you have a child on drugs don't tell me it's just pot.It's just the beginning.

what's wrong with teens smoking pot is that it interferes with real problems, and makes it impossible to diagnose depression, adhd, bi-polar disorder. These are REAL and pot just covers it up and makes it worse. talk to any psychiatrist and he will tell you that adults come to him regularly looking for help to their bi-polar disorder....but hey...they've been self-medicating for the past ten years and now the doctor cannot help him. Ask a medical doctor how many times he has an adult patient tell him that 'I've smoked pot regularly since I was a teenager and I'm alright'.....but the doctor can see...NO he's NOT. That's the problem with pot. You all think you are ok. but you are not.

I think parents need to stop cracking down on teens doing things that adults can do and still lead normal lives. Perhaps had the parents, instead of trying to control their children and make them what they think an active citizen should be, taught their child to prioritize his or her life and have fun when appropriate while maintaining grades and having life goals, he or she would not have reason to move to the harder and untestable drugs.
When I was younger my father caught me smoking pot and threw my VCR across the room and forced me into rehab. In which I was placed around people who were into much harder drugs and had a great influence on my young mind. The doctors gave me a legal form of amphetamine and antidepressants, one of which ended up giving me random electric shocks through my body.
Now in my adult life, I choose to smoke, and lead a very normal and happy life. I went through a depression post military service and smoking marijuana helped me out of this and I am in the best shape (I work out at least 10 hours a week) as well as the best mind set as I don't have the over controlling parents to make me feel like there is something wrong with for what I chose to do for fun.
While I think there is definitely reason to worry for children who do experiment with drugs, I also think far too many parents jump the gun and think there is something wrong with their child when it is very normal to experiment and ultimately pot is the lesser of many evils, if evil at all. Don't force them into a self full-filling prophecy when they may have been just fine without your "help". Many of these experts and professionals will determine your child drug dependent because they are running a business and need clients. And of course the pharmaceutical companies are ready and willing to pump things into your child, that they aren't even sure how they work, to "fix" them.
Teach them to prioritize and to surround themselves with those who do the same. Life is what you make it and it is entirely possible to make it well while enjoying pot.

I recommend home drug testing your teens. My wife and I decided to do it as a prevention tool to keep our boys from experimenting. The test out on the market now seem to be very accurate and the ones we purchased have a built in adulterant strip so the test can't be cheated. For those of you considering testing, I would recommend doing your own research. I found that the folks at origindiagnostics.com were very helpful. I wish everyone success!

Tyler , Kyle & Drew. You think people should have the choice whether to do drugs or not huh? Well maybe so once you are an adult on your own and totally self sufficent, I mean Mom & Dad aren't having to pay for any of your stuff or clean up your messes. And you aren't adversley affecting anyone else. What illicit/illeagal drug use creates quite often is just a huge burden on society and I get pissed off when I see all these crack Mom's keep having babies, getting assitance and continue to do drugs along with the so called Dads. The thiefs it creates. You think you should have the right to add to the mess!! The govt takes my money just to give it to them... when are you going to pay thier way? Got a job? Got a life? If not get them then talk your s%#!.
