I looked up BioSecur and they have a downloadable information file including lab tests results and certification. This is a natural antimicrobial which has been certified by EcoCert Canada and is USDA/NOP compliant.
They say the product is effective against E.coli and Salmonella.
Well worth evaluating.

There are products out there that can be used to ensure that fruits, vegetables and even poultry, fish and meat are protected against bacteria. I prefer to use natural products wherever possible and have found an offering out of Canada called Bio-Citrus. There isn't a Web site ordering mechanism, that I have found yet but you can order via phone and email. The active ingredient in these products is an organic solution called BioSecur. The compound is non-toxic and USDA certified organic. What's even better, lab tests indicate that it's effective in fighting both Salmonella and E-coli bacteria (although I don't believe it's FDA approved at this point). While I love the anti bacterial aspect of the product, I starting using it initially because it's a natural preservative and can extend the shelf life of tomatoes and other produce. They have so many natural products - I even use the ScienceVet on my dog.

We grow tomatoes in a greenhouse.
They never get in touch with soil or other contaminants.
The tomatoes are harvested by people waring surgical gloves
no after treatment only packed in boxes single layer.
