Addiction to Video Games a Growing Concern

My son claims he needs to use the internet for homework and then alternated between the game Transformice and his homework taking three times as long to complete it. He is doing well in school but his social life is wrapped up around the game and he doesn't seem to be ionteresgted in making or meeting friends.
Any advice?

My place has COD on the TV 90% of each and everyday since the game was purchased. I def think my roommate and his kids are addicted and could be using their time more wisely. His kids woke me up and 4am playing the F'ing game! They are 9 and 6...
