The FAR better alternative for women is for the man (men) to have had vasectomies.
Vasectomy is the most needed little operation in the world---for family planning and world population control. Once and done.
I had mine at 22, now I'm 57. No problems, no regrets. Yes, my wife and I had a child.
Then we stopped. She has never taken a single pill and I'm proud of that record.
