lXMYQW If you have to do it, you might as well do it right.

I think many people skip exercising around the holidays because of all the holiday activities, so I agree with the first comment, if you stick to your exercise regimen all year long you don't have to hold back at holiday parties. If you are out of town, make sure to get some time outside and and take a walk or run with a family member you don't usually get to spend time with.

Talk at the Table

I think my portion sizes have decreased since I started talking at the dinner table. Having a conversation with my wife or friends at a relaxed pace distracts me from wolfing down my food and also helps me realize that there's more to life than a full belly. I've come to look at eating as more of a social event and try to avoid eating alone or via the drive thru if at all possible.

Tell me something I don't already know.

As for Britney she is being groomed to make money, like a show horse.

My heart goes out to her.

I would guess lipo and a personal trainor is the real answer.

Where's YOUR Pride?

I'm proud of Britney's ability to achieve a therapeutic level of mood stabilizer, and pull her life back into control--and NOT that she took herself from a normal BMI to a lower, more tabloid approving one. That's an attitude the media holds toward women that may have partly contributed to her situation in the first place.

Ms. Kotz, maybe you are the wrong person for this blog.

If by "surprising" you meant obvious, oft-repeated and ineffective, then you are right on track. Good gosh, woman! Your readers need real help and support, not filler and comments about how tiny you are.

Way 12

My annoyance at the writer's "dismayed" revelation that she can't quite fit into a diminutive size 4 may have caused me to lose half a pound just now.

Walk, walk and walk. The more the better.

As for Britney, she should do another team-up with Justin Timberlake.
