why do women play mind games for and lie to a guy that is for real and serious?
why cant she just say,,,,u attimade me....or ur not my type...or im not interested??? or etc...instead of giving a run around? just wondering if the good guys the main ones that are genuine are suppose 2 get hurt? or rejected for a reason? or turned down just cause they want more pain from another guy 1st? whats up with all that and this? i am so lost.....

I agree with Linda and Edward. I don't feel the on-line websites for dating turn out to be what one expects. I also feel it is an unwise choice for some to join some of them. However, that is a matter for each unique person to decide for themselves. Personally, I feel that if it is really meant to be, one will meet that person who is an ideal match for them, without having to resort to on-line dating websites or going to bars, etc, looking for love. I doubt many will appreciate this comment, but I honestly feel that the best place to meet someone special is at the church of your choice or any other Christian function. God loves us all and He has a plan for each of us. However, we have been given "free will" to make our own choices in life. I think it's very important to consider the consequences of meeting strangers on line or in a bar setting, etc. No one is perfect, and one may or may not meet someone in a Church of Christian setting. I hope my views do not offend anyone. I will say that a long time ago, I let a friend talk me into meeting someone on a "blind" date and it did turn out to be a disaster, which I could have avoided by just saying "No". Why is it that some friends think if one has just split up with their spouse, it is time for them to step in and get them interested in someone else? I feel it takes years to heal from a divorce, especially if one really loved their husband or wife. Good luck to everyone in finding their special someone. I have a good husband now and am happy!
Glad I'm not alone
I haven't had a single person respond on chemistry.com and like other people have stated, I have a career and I'm a good looking guy. I'm giving up after my subscription is up.
Bad experience on Chemistry.com
I have met one man on Chemistry.com so far. He was handsome and had a good career. Unfortunately, I think he was married as he only wanted to meet during the day, and he blew me off after I would not sleep with him on the 2nd date (the 2nd date was of course during the day). I was disappointed since I expected that most people taking the time to fill out all the questions on the website and pay the rather steep fee of $50.00 a month would be sincere. While I am an enthusiast of Dr. Fisher and believe in her research ( as a matter of fact I work at Rutgers University), I want to warn others that their matches maybe looking only for physical chemistry and not a true well rounded connection. I guess it is cheaper than going out to the bars and trying to pick up women!
Needs more time in the lab
I'm glad I'm not the only only one having problems with Chemistry. They say they'll send you "up to five" matches per day, but after a week, it dropped off to 1 or 2. And I live in a major metropolitan area and I didn't set a lot of picky criteria. I think they are too new to have a big pool, but they don't want to tell you that! $100 for 3 mos feels like a waste of money at this point.
No good matches!!!
My feelings are the same as the person above (Linda Wells?). I've been a member of "Match.Com" for almost 2 years now. And it’s been a total waste of time. I've had one date in that time; we picked a restaurant to meet that was convenient for both of us. I arrived first and to my surprise the lady that met me was a good 10 years older than her photo. The best part was that she brought her dog on the date, all through dinner I had her pet looking at me from inside her purse. I did not ask her out again.
But I keep trying. I've sent out a thousand winks and a couple of dozen e-mails. I'm tired & frustrated. I'm not a bad looking guy, I make a good living' I have a beautiful home and I don't drool on myself. What I'm trying to say is "I don't get it". Why have I only had one date and can't get any of my possible matches to respond to my e-mails? That’s another beef I have, the matches they send me tend to be the same ones over & over again.
I’ve tried to get help from the folks at “Match.com” but nothing. They have not responded to my letters or phone calls. The worst part of this, is that all this time, I have gone out on numerous dates, all through bars & nightclubs, the very places I didn’t want to go to, I’m doing all the things that I joined Match not to do. I haven’t given up yet.

Incorrect information
The last sentence in this article is incorrect. I am a member of Chemistry.com and have received two matches who admit in their profiles that they are not members.
I have received about 30 matches and have only gotten a response from one of them. I wrote to ask them about it. and they never responded. I suspect it is a marketing trick to get non-members with profiles to pay up and to make paid members think there is more available than there actually is. Also, very few of my matches live close enough to me. Sometimes I think all these dating sites are fraudulent crooks.
