Is the situation modifiable in a positive way? In my particular case, it would have been difficult to get back to full throttle after the migraine set in. If my stress level had been a little lower
Stress to Migraine to Mellow
I get the migraine when I get positive news and the waiting is over. It's the result of good news, for me. Can you believe that? Good news causes me to get migraines. For example I thought I had a problem with the IRS and called them to discuss it. The advised me how to "fix" the problem so now that my imagined problem was "over" my body was at liberty to breath a sign of relief, which in my case is the migraine response.
The previous migraine came after I had coompleted a year long project. I worked on the project and was going along step by step and everything was working well during that year. Hoeever, until the project was finished and result was known in the form of money, I worried about the project, fantasized about it, calculated and recalculated the steps I had taken and was taking....finally I had the result, which turned out to be successfull....voile!!!! A Migraine was the result!
I don't get headaches from bad news....only from good news. I worry and hold my mental breath about things and then finally,,,,it's time for another Migraine.
All I can say is ironically when the headache is finally over, after two days of vomiting and lying in the dark, I FEEL GREAT.
I should be able to learn from this....some how....I don't want to eliminate the good news....just not worry about whether the news will be good??????
