Is Your Computer Hazardous to Your Kids' Health?

The world is a dangerous place
Kids have been brought indoors and no longer engage is certain types of games and sports because of hyped fears of injury, only to discover that there are risks associated with staying indoors. Lions, and tigers, and bears, oh, my!
Sorry, the real world is a dangerous place, no amount of state nannyism and hand-wringing will change this, and making the world risk-free is prohibitively expensive. Children also cannot be watched 24/7, and not all risks can be anticipated. This is why children should be taught and learn about risks (and their consequences) and, as they age, given increasing responsibility for managing them for themselves. The children and society benefit.
Applies to adults, too.
Seriously...
This story could just as well been written about the hundreds of librarians who get crushed by piles of books falling or about the teachers who get chalk-lung...
lol
