Girls With Sexy Avatars Face Greater Risks Online.

This subject actually amuses me.You know why?Because when you attempt to monitor your girls or children online Children's Servixes tells you children you are violating their rights to privacy.I have had my daughter's myspace and Zanga accounts removed twice because she posted personal information such as phone numbers and also wore a provocative shirt enticing predators and myspace and Zanga argued with me at first and would not remove the profile and also my daughter was under age and they fought me on that too.So people are we more worried according to Children's Services about violating their privacy or protecting them from perverts? You can't have it both ways .Personally I think violating their supposed privacy is a lot less of an issue than allowing perverts access to them but don't tell our people that make the laws this or Children's Services because in their book you will be determined to be unfit and have your child removed.

My Comment

You did not post my comment. I think the material was not acceptable. Would like to hear from you on this. Please.

What is an avatar?

I did not know the answer to that question, so I consulted Webster. To paraphrase, "An avatar is the embodiment of some known model". Use your imagination as to how this applies to your child!

For parents, I would suggest you refer to the Bible, and consider how this verse applies to you and your child:

Train up a child in the way he/she should go and he/she

will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

The invisible pronoun at beginning of that verse is YOU!

Avatars?

If you have No idea of what an "Avatar" is, Then you are not up to speed on what you children are "exploring" on line. Your children are on-line if the are on x-box,PS3, or on their i-phone.It's time to start catching up with what your kids know about the internet.

Hardly a big deal you say! Where do you live? If you are in any type of urban or suburban area, Try going on Craigslist.com for example and see how young the kids are on the "casual encounters" site.

While you are looking, just think this could be your daughter or son "hooking up" for a quickie with someone.

The best way to find out about your child's life is to turn off the TV yourself and actually interact with them. Stop your busy life and be a part of theirs.
