Life Is Precious, Male or Not...

Reminds me of the phenomenon years back when rollerbladers grabbed onto to cars and pickup trucks for free rides, and that was far more dangerous! The extra rush of adrenaline from these activities is not worth the loss of life. Novice stuntmen, do yourselves a favor, and leave this stuff to the pros, who always come prepared with proper gear, emergency staff, and contingency plans. You're better off as spectators to enjoy watching daredevils perform, than for the rest of us to see you kill yourselves trying such unpredictable and very risky maneuvers. I guess it would be pretty difficult for a dead man to smell the roses from inside his casket!

Low Numbers

99 accidents in almost 20 years?!?! Is this problem even worth the cost of the paper CDC used to write their report?

Culling of the Weakest

This is Darwinism at work. The stupid (frequently) die of their massive stupidity. And, hopefully before they reproduce.

Agree

Sometimes the Gene Pool needs a little Chlorine.

Kill 'em off young before they have a chance to procreate more stupidity.

Not funny

Not even remotely funny, or news-worthy for that matter. Hey doc, what's with all the self-loathing disdain for your own sex? Are angry man-hating women your primary demographic?

What's that sound? You've set off the misandry alarm!

Why risk so much for nothing ?Our country could use the bravery demonstrated this obviously takes to a different level -have it make a differance in the world .Enlist in the Armed Forces & give back to the country that provided you with the freedom to be foolish or a participant in making history.

About On Men

It's fitting that On Men is being revived by Contributor Ford Vox, M.D., a resident in rehabilitation medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis. He will share his thoughts about the latest medical research and issues that affect men. Dr. Vox, who also reports for Reuters Health, knows he should spend more time swimming laps, but that would cut into his soothing soaks in the aquatic center whirlpool. Push him into the deep end with questions and comments at onmen@usnews.com.
