Michael Savage

If anyone is misdiagnosed--it's him! He definately has something very wrong with him. He must have been living in a cave the last 10 years...

Michael Savage

Listen to Michael's program all of the time.

The above quote is the perfect example of a fragmentary quote taken completely OUT OF CONTEXT. What Michael was trying to say, in a nutshell, is that these days Autism is overdiagnosed

and misdiagnosed, which it most certainly is.

The modern increase in the number of cases of Autism is a myth,

much like global warming, which is another myth popular with

many stupid gullible people who are so willing to believe the latest liberal crisis of the day,

witout a critical analysis of REAL STATISTICS.

(Global temperatures stopped rising in 2001 and have actually dropped since then.)

Savage is without a heart and definately without a brain

Savage needs to be removed from the airwaves permanetly. For such an ignorant comment that this is all a behavioral effect and that the lack of a father is the reason why a child has these behaviors is the same as a spectactor in the football fields calling for anaylis of why the team is losing.

These children biologically have inflammed brains, intestial tracts (which certain foods esculate the moods). Look at fermented drinks consumed; if drank in excess, the person becomes violent, lethargic or "crazy". No amount of verbal statements could control someone in this condition. For the autistic child, the gluten and casien's great a casien morphine that leaks into the gut, fermenting and leaking into the bloodstream.

In addition, new studies indicate that an autistic MALE has double the testosterone of a NT male child. A female with autism has double the autistic male!

As for fathers and studies, you will not find anything. Few fathers stick around. The rates of divorce in familes is 85% in the first five years of diagnosis and 95% with 10 years of the fateful words, "Your child is autistic". Mothers are left to recover their children or those who sit in disbelief and ignore the child all together. In Europe, mothers are killing themselves after killing their child. They don't have support.

The CDC's rates are 1 in 150 children, the truth is that there are heavier pockets thoughout the world. In the towns in Washington State rates can be as high as 1 in 80.

Fact is Savage is exactly what his name states - a savage, ignorant bastard who probably is sponsered by the Pharma's who have suceeded in getting the government to protect them against legal actions due to immunization damage. (Look into the Homeland Security Bill).

Autism is a neurological condition! It is not a mental condition. Treating the child for the damage can help recover them. ABA therapy can help with behavior. RDI therapy can help with interaction.

Savage should suffer a stroke and then try to communicate what his needs are. He would be screaming too because his mind and communication would not be sync'd and his level of frustration would explode outward. He is a maggot with a microphone!

the end of our nation

Savage and limbaugh are dividing doing their best to encourage a dictatorship. They are completely against reason, debate, and considering outhers thoughts and ideas. It's always their way or no way! I boycot any and all of their sponcers!

Michael Savage

This wonderful human being (?) is easily the worst of the right wing hate radio commentators.

Autism

Is autism over diagnosed and are children on too many (expensive) medications? Yes. End of story.

Weak Support

"...the prevalence of autism among boys is between 2.8 and 5 times that of girls." There's between a 20 and 65% chance I'll beleive that.

You should stick to the topic of your blog. It's a real stretch to connect this with "On Men." Apparently, you felt like talking about Savage and patched this together?

savage's comments on autism

I have 2 children (6 & 7 years old) wtih autism. I have poured my heart and soul into these kids for 7 years. In those 7 years, I have never once heard the word "mommy" or "I love you". In fact, I don't even know if they know I'm their mother at all. Autism is not being spoiled; it's devastating! The only one acting like a spoiled idiot is Michael Savage.

Autism

If you would take the time and listen to more of his comments about Autism you may come away enlightened, the simple truth is the more children you can bunch into the autism spectrum the more federal money you will get! How is it possible that 1 out of 150 children are autistic, if you won't take the time to hear the whole story at least do the math and you will realize that the numbers are outrageous!! The money wasted on these here could really make a difference in the fight against other more fatal and overwhelming diseases!!!!!!!

Autism

I am 67 years old. When in my 20's my sister-in-law had a breakdown and I went to take care of her and her four young children until her husband return from his V.P. position at a prestigeous NY bank. Child number 2 (a girl) was 3 and 1/2. She was a silent child for whom everyone scurried at her least desire. The entire family thought something was wrong with her as she did not speak and was rather sullen and withdrawn. She was catered to by her older siblings (5 yrs.and 9 yrs old) as well as by her mother. My sister in law was an independent, intellignet woman, reasonable, and a good mother. However, she did not push "Barb" to grow up.

I believe Michael Savage is correct in many, many instances. Barb suddenly started acting 'normal' when she reached 5 years old. Tough love had something to do with it as well as the breakup of my sister-in-laws marriage. Barb married and had children. At 27 I knew she needed a wake up call to get her going. Too bad it took her 5 years to get it.

About On Men

It's fitting that On Men is being revived by Contributor Ford Vox, M.D., a resident in rehabilitation medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis. He will share his thoughts about the latest medical research and issues that affect men. Dr. Vox, who also reports for Reuters Health, knows he should spend more time swimming laps, but that would cut into his soothing soaks in the aquatic center whirlpool. Push him into the deep end with questions and comments at onmen@usnews.com.
