There is now a well-researched beverage that addresses this

At this point, not many people know that recently (Sept 1st 2009) a very different kind of beverage was released that can actually help in holding off dementia.

It is known as a think-drink, and was formulated by Dr. Kyl Smith, the author of Brighter Mind- and is not only completely natural, but has many years of research behind it with real benefits that can be felt.

Dr. Kyl was the former inventor of Focus Factor of years past. While this was a notable product, selling over 200 million, this new product is the benefactor of years of more research. This new drink is formulated to improve mood, energy, and concentration- even for average people.

While those are big statements, they backed up with over 1,400 scientific references in his book, Brighter Mind. Though it is sweet, there are NO sugars or artificial sweeteners in this drink. (using Stevia, a natural herb) it can be found at focusuponline.com

Dr. Kyl has a passion around naturally treating disorders, including ADHA, and generally getting the brain at it's peak efficiency. The interesting thing is that he says the average American is under-consuming the very specific nutrients that would optimize the brain.

So, many with no specific difficulty are taking this just to feel on top of their game- without side effects, sugar damage, and weight gain.

The company that Dr. Kyl Smith has joined up with is Xooma Worldwide, and they happen to be one of those companies that allows people to become a distributor for the product. Some like that, and some don't, but regardless, the product itself is making quite a difference in this area.

Their website may be found at focusuponline.com

cause of Alzheimers

Two of my second cousin siblings in their middle 70's developed alleged alzheimers. Notice I said alleged. The only way to 100% diagnose is post mortem of the brain and check for amyloyd plaques. An autopsy was not performed on either of them, and subsequently the data is lost forever.

The latest report indicates that of the three molecules 1, 2, and 3, only #2 causes Alzheimers when injected in mice.

I am solicitng to the medical community to suggest where feasible regarding religous or ethnicity constraints, that an autopsy be performed on as many deceased persons as possible to catergorize the findings of such a devastating disease.

About On Men

It's fitting that On Men is being revived by Contributor Ford Vox, M.D., a resident in rehabilitation medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis. He will share his thoughts about the latest medical research and issues that affect men. Dr. Vox, who also reports for Reuters Health, knows he should spend more time swimming laps, but that would cut into his soothing soaks in the aquatic center whirlpool. Push him into the deep end with questions and comments at onmen@usnews.com.
