which plastics are good and which are not??? I know there are #'s on them that I should look for...but what is what?

#1, 2, 4, 5 ok??

#3, 6 & 7 NOT OK?

please let me know what is good and not and where I look for the # on the plastic.

I am new to this chemical and just how pervasive it is in our world. Can anyone tell me if this danger extends into the myriads of bottled water products and juice container bottles that we all buy in grocery stores?

Why I choose BPA-Free Products

We believe the that the body is our temple or house and we must respect and take care of it. Therefore, putting harmful chemicals into our body or system is unacceptable. We do not appreciate BPA products. We have definitely been looking out for our family and searching for BPA free products. Last week, I purchased from LL Bean in MA about $100.00 worth of BPA-Free drinking containers for my son and daughter to take to college with them later this month. I am now searching for BPA-free plates and containers for their microwave and frig. No luck so far, hope that some company will seize the opportunity to develop and market such product. Thank heavens that Governor Rell is turning our Attorney General's Bill into Law, today! Yes, to BPA-free products. We should not be able to have see BPA in our blood or DNA. It is not what God intended for us to have...foreign objects and harmful chemicals are a no-no and unacceptable. Smart people make smart choices. Better health and environment should be a goal for everyone.

after hearing about this recently,i have decided to stop using plastics,or look for bpa free plastics.Reason being,im a male,have enough hormone probalems as it is(breast tissue pain) and dont have health insurance at the moment.I do not need any more problems going through my body.its pretty sad that this has been suspected since the 30s,and yet bpa is still used.Ill be glad when this chemical is banned all together
