Motherinlaw's medications

After reviewing my motherinlaw's medicare drug charges, I noticed how much the drug companies charge medicare not including her co-pay.

We now have the doctor give us the written prescription and shop it. Between Costco and our local supermarket, we pay less than what the insurance co-pays are and don't even report on her part "D". There is one drug we get out of Canada, at PlanetDrugDirect.com and it is also cheaper than her co-pay.

Instead of scaring the American public, you should get on board and help them to fight this injustice that our government has forces and tricked us into.-------Unless you also have something to gain by perpetuating this fraud,-- do you?

Let one of your reporters compare the USA against the rest of the world. Show things like:

Standard of living ranking:

Income, (In terms of dollars)

Cost of bread( In terms of dollars)

Taxes: Fed,State,sales,VAT,ect

Cost of health care:

Lets now take a look how great the US is now. Don't forget to write about all the freedoms and privacy we have lost.

You could also write about the homeowners American dream fraud. (The banks dream of keeping you in slavery)

You could write about how our government has let the banks and credit card industry lure the public into debt, again to make them slaves.

Great country, Screw it's citizens.

Get off your asses and do some investigator reporting.

Interesting Information

I found lots of interesting information on health.usnews.com. The post was professionally written and I feel like the author has extensive knowledge in the subject. health.usnews.com keep it that way.

US Pharmaceuticals

American drug companies are part of the corruption of capitalism in the USA. They use the tired, false excuse of research and development costs mandating their obscene profit margins, without mention that a huge part of this R&D is spent on "recreational drugs" such in the Viagra genre; and even more is spent on lobbying Congress and courting the FDA. All the while they are raping Medicare and Medicaid.

Americans are FORCED to buy abroad if they pay out of pocket, or look the other way while Medicare is being bankrupted. It's as much a shame and disgrace as the extortion spirited practices of Wall Street and Investment Bankers with their "toxic assets."

Time To Stop US NEWS

I have lived on our border with Canada all my life and have traveled much of the world. Canada's health delivery system has it over on the US system by a mile. Everything that you hear to the contrary is the result of large money interests in the US trying to convince all of us that we need to keep health delivery in the USA just as it is. I am so sorry to see US NEWS spreading such bull and now I begin to wonder just how accurate is the other "news" in US NEWS. So sad to see. Also, the internet addresses on page 2 of the Nov 17 to 24th US NEWS are mostly incorrect ...... editing needs some work.

Drugs in Canada

Interesting that you'd specifically mention Canada - not exactly a developing country - and then go on to talk about what you should watch for everywhere else. Exactly what should you look for in our highly developed, English speaking, neighbor right next door? Especially so many people cross the border to buy their drugs there.

I lived in Calgary a few years and you do need to get a prescription - you can't just go in to the pharmacist and ask. Haven't noticed a rash of deaths in Canada due to poor quality drugs - or confusion with names - or anything.

So, exactly what's the problem with Canada? It's not exactly Pakistan.

Also, for most Americans, I don't think they would refer to going to Canada, going abroad!
