oh lord

It seems to be a common misconception that exercise 'tiring you out' helps you sleep. It's arguable that it does the polar extreme as the adrenalin your body creates can takes hours to sift through your system. Certainly a heavy weight routine a few hours before bed is a definite no no. I speak from absolute experience.

@Yoda

Seems your not doing it right then!

Are You Serious?

Sex strenuous? What kind of out-of-shape, lazy slob are you sleeping with?

Its obvious

Its obvious you would fall asleep after an exercising activity because it uses up all your extra energy left over from the day and it wears you out and what do you want to do when your warn out? Sleep!

?????

I am flabbergasted every time I see an article about this.

I mean, it's being discussed by many of the same people who complain about men falling asleep right after sex- rather strenuous exercise, don't you think?

Great to know!

My problem is my shift; I work 3pm-midnight (or later). Working out before bed actually tends to help me sleep better, just because it wears me out, and my down time doesn't go all the way to 6am (or later) before I can actually sleep.

Now, if only I can figure out a way to eat something without the calories/fat sticking around. My dinner time is usually when I get home from work...
