Diet Doda response

Ants are attracted to sugar. The fact that they do not like diet soda in no way validates or invalidates its danger to humans. Also if you felt the need to poke your nose in the Rn's business why did you scold her about the coffee and not the smoking. Smoking causes proven damage to those who smoke and those around them.

weight loss

Many reasons to avoid all sodas - diet or sugared.

The mounting evidence that diet sodas do not actually help you lose weight is one more reason to toss them into the waste bin of history. While sugared (high fructose corn syrup) sodas definitely contribute to diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis, it is apparent that aspartame based sodas are potent neuro-toxins.

At the time of their approval in the early 1980s the preponderance of studies done by scientists that were NOT sponsored by the sweetener industry showed or hinted at major safety problems for the product. The then FDA commissioner who barreled through the approval now words for a firm that works for GD Searle, the maker of Nutrisweet (aspartame).

There seems to be a major connection between Aspartame and brain cancer in both rat and human studies - how insane is it to continue to use something that has this potentiality.

Phenylalanine which make up half of Aspartame, in your brain can cause the levels of serotonin in your brain to decrease, leading to emotional disorders such as depression. It can also cause schizophrenia or make you more susceptible to seizures.

Methanol, which makes up 10% of Aspartame, is also a deadly neuro-toxin. that can lead to a variety of symptoms such as:

• Vision problems

• Headaches, ear buzzing, dizziness

• Nausea and gastrointestinal disturbances

• Weakness, numbness and shooting pains in your extremities

• Behavioral disturbances

• Memory lapses

We would all be far better off with water, tea or juice as our beverage of choice with our meals. NYS's new tax on sugared sodas is not a bad step, but it probably should include the diet sodas which are dangerous in their own ways.

So all you dieters out there who think that diet soda may be helping you - please note - it may not be helping you with your weight loss at all and may be the cause of some horrendous problems for many folks.

When taking my daughter who has multiple scleroses, for her general check, I noticed an RN exiting the facility with a cigarette in one hand and coffee in the other hand. I suggested that since coffee causes fibroid tumors in some women's breast and prostate enlargement in some men, she should set an example and refrain from that habit.

The nurse said, "I bet you drink diet soda." I said no. The nurse said while pursuing her nursing degree they went on a field trip and experimented with a diet soda and a regular soda, both being the same brand. They poured a sugar soda in the ant hill and the ants continued to occupy the hill. When diet soda was poured into the hole, they immediately exited the hill. If ants don't drink diet soda, maybe we as homosapiens should not drink diet soda.

If the researchers are correct, it seems skipping the diet soda and having a glass of water instead can help you feel better, look better and live longer.

A for more interesting thing is that as you take the drink into your body it has to compensate for the acid. Usually a ph of 1 or 2. It does this by removing sodium from the bones. One study showed that women who drink soft drinks on a regular basis have twice the osteo porous (sp) at age 40 than women who do not drink any soft drinks. It is not the sweetner that is dangerous, it is the acid.

Resveratrol is key to weight control

Resveratrol Supplements can help you control your weight naturally

by increasing energy, reducing cravings, and limiting your appetite.

According to Wikipedia, Consumer Lab, an independent dietary

supplement and over the counter products evaluation organization,

published a report on 13 November 2007 on the popular resveratrol

supplements. The organization reported that there exists a wide range

in quality, dose, and price among the 13 resveratrol products

evaluated. The actual amount of resveratrol contained in the

different brands range from 2.2mg for Revatrol, which claimed to have

400mg of "Red Wine Grape Complex", to 500mg for Biotivia.com Transmax,

which is consistent with the amount claimed on the product's label.

Prices per 100mg of resveratrol ranged from less than $.30 for

products made by Biotivia.com, jarrow, and country life, to a high of

$45.27 for the Revatrol brand. None of the products tested were found

to have significant levels of heavy metals or other contaminants.

sodas

Katherine, please tell me you are joking. The phosphoric acid in sodas leaches magnesium from the system at an alarming rate. Magnesium is a critical component of neurotransmitter activity, specifically Serotonin. When Serotonin levels become depleted, people experience vicious cravings for junk food carbohydrate and more sodas. Sodas are the number 1 source of calories for the average American and the prime mover for the epidemic rise of excess weight gain/ obesity. The health of this nation would improve dramatically if people would simply cut out this poison in a can. By the way, the number one selling prescription drugs are the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors. Only an apologist on the payroll of the cola cabals would make the statements in your piece . It borders on criminal misinformation.
