About 50 children a day are admitted to Winthrop University Hospital Children's Medical Center, a pediatric service within a large medical center, Winthrop-University Hospital. Patients and their families have access to many resources to make their visit more comfortable, including sleep areas for parents and siblings, a family resource center, and many educational books about specific medical conditions.
