Since 1964, CHOC Children's has been committed to providing premier pediatric care to children in Orange County and beyond. Affiliated with the University of California, Irvine, our regional pediatric healthcare network includes a state-of-the-art 238-bed main hospital facility in the City of Orange, and a hospital-within-a-hospital in Mission Viejo. CHOC also offers many primary and specialty care clinics, over 100 additional programs and services, and a pediatric residency program. CHOC is proud to offer four centers of excellence—The CHOC Children’s Heart, Neuroscience, and Orthopaedic Institutes, and the Hyundai Cancer Institute. We are the fastest-growing children’s hospital in California, based on admissions.

Achieving Excellence
CHOC Children’s earned the Silver Level CAPE Award from the California Council of Excellence, the only children’s hospital in California to ever earn this distinction, and was awarded Magnet designation, the highest honor bestowed to hospitals for nursing excellence. Recognized for extraordinary commitment to high-quality critical care standards, CHOC is the first children’s hospital in the United States to earn the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence.
Opening a New Era
CHOC’s new patient care tower will open its doors in 2013—featuring leading design and safety principles. This state-of-the-art, seven-story building will add over 425,000 square feet of space on our main hospital campus in the City of Orange. The new space will make Orange County one of the medically safest and healthiest places for children in the country.
Most importantly, it will be a place where sick kids and their families find serenity, hope for healing, and people who understand their unique needs.

Education & Training
