It's all about lifestyle
I too have read about the decrease in calories being the most beneficial. In as much as I think eating less is always better than eating too much, there are a lot of other factors to keeping us healthy and young. Here are a couple of articles that may interest you:

This is a fascinating subject, and I agree with your comments also, Prabal. We will be learning much more soon, I'm sure.
All of this makes perfect sense, and is borne out by examples all around. Think about it, how many elderly obese people do you know? But even as the research comes to light, very few will change their bad habits. As the old joke goes, "I'd do anything to be thin, except diet!"
