Happness

Love and accept yourself ALL of it:foibles foolishness faults; love and accept OTHERS as human being we all are

One more thing to look forward to

Just to add, another way to find happiness during the recession is to realize that all current reports indicate that it's now slowly turning around.

Oh, and then there's still the cuteness of bunny rabbits, of course (grin).

Gotta love bunnies in good economic times or bad economic times.

Alas, if only stocks would split the way bunnies breed...

Bunny Rabbits!!

I may be late chiming in on this thread (the news story is from April, but I just found it and loved it), but honestly, the only way to deal with the recession is to just know that one has to "wait it out" (patience is a virtue, right?).

We've had a lousy decade when you think about it, because things started to slowly turn around after the whole 9/11 incident that eventually got us into a war in Iraq, and then the financial crisis hit (gee, thanks a lot).

After almost a whole decade, it is simply a fact that we are now DUE for some improvement. It's a waiting game.

As for something nice on a daily basis, have to recommend bunny rabbits. Yes, from house pets to the adorable wild cottontails, who leave little baby rabbits every spring and summer, those adorable little twitchy noses are a total treat to see on a daily basis.

Poke around the little thickets in the corner of the suburban yards during their nap time, and they're easy to find all sprawled out, legs outstretched, and their little heads resting on the ground while they catch a nap. So cute.

And while you're at it, go adopt one...

2009 Has Been the Worst

I just blogged about my not so fun 2009 so far at careercougar.wordpress.com. I agree with this article; the ability to find happiness from within makes life much easier.

I also feel that people have to vent to properly acknowledge their feelings. I know if I simply resist my feelings of sadness, anger, etc. and try to just put happiness on top of them, it usually gets worse.

In my blog, I talked about case after case of bad news I've been hearing (mostly at work). I purposely avoid the news to reduce the amount of negative propaganda.

Thanks for this post.

Turn off the TV

quote: "Turn off the news! Most of it has no direct impact on you, and the news is almost always bad. Go for a walk instead ..."

I absolutely agree with Serene of AR. I've found that reading or listening to the nightly news makes me angry, anxious, and unhappy. The media is designed to make people miserable. If you're reading the newspaper and find your blood-pressure rising as your reading, then stop reading. Stop buying the paper, you're not missing any earth-shattering news. Stop feeding the Media Machine, the negative press who feed off of our misery. I have found that I much more peaceful and agreeable by not letting the media intrude on my personal happiness.

Finding Joy from Purpose

He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

The Bible, Micah Chapter 6, Verse 8

One More

Turn off the news! Most of it has no direct impact on you, and the news is almost always bad. Go for a walk instead ...

To be happy is easy!

Happy life simply needs instincts:

(1) VALID HAPPINESS (love, sense of beauty, symbiosis (conscience, justice, moral, helping and teaching others as well as vice versa…) bravery….) must be the feeling of things being a step better for our propagation. (Confirmation of what has just been done, encouragement to going further for propagation, and lasting short in order to make further progress)

(2) WELL-BEING is the ongoing feeling of things going well step by step for our propagation.

(3) VALID SUFFERING (hate, ugliness….) must be the feeling of things being harmful to our propagation and calling us to prevent or rectify or remedy it. (Causes of creation and evolution)

(4) SOUL (including: personality, inspiration, etc.) is the computation results of both our instinct and pre-instinct data-programs in our brain. (Director of whole human body)

(5) LIFE GOAL is to propagate. (Causes of all kinds of human world)

All these above are our instincts (ancestors’ successful experiences saved on DNA).

Socrates’s “happy pig” lives on instincts, but people who suffer from unvalid happiness do not.

Plato’s the true, the good, and the beautiful are based on instincts.

Tal Ben Shahar’s “Six Tips for Happiness” also simply requires instincts:

1. Give yourself permission to be human. When we accept emotions -- such as fear, sadness, or anxiety -- as natural, ..... (Instinct No.3)

2. Happiness lies at the intersection between pleasure and meaning. ..... (Instinct No.1)

3. Keep in mind that happiness is mostly dependent on our state of mind,..... (Instinct No.1,3,4)

4. Simplify! .... (Instinct No.1)

5. Remember the mind-body connection. ... Regular exercise, adequate sleep, and healthy eating habits lead to both physical and menta health. (Instinct No.1,4,5)

6. Express gratitude, ..... (Instinct No.1. Symbiosis)

This conclusion can be deduced retrogressively by our common sense.

Right?
