smoking

I had a friend, we both drive school busses for children. I mentioned the other day that cigarettes went up again, 2 packs are $11.35 now. She went off on me because she does not smoke about why do you smoke. But all the while she's talking she is crossing the yellow line into the opposite lane, because already at 7 AM she has had one to many drinks. I can smell it over her dentine gum. I said you are really one to call the kettle black, I'm not allowed to smoke in your car but your allowed to kill me drunk on cheap beer. I believe she drinks Hurricane, $1.99 a quart. This stuff is lethal, does not foam up like beer and smells like whiskey. I'd have a better chance walking to work smoking than riding with her. The worst part of it folks that she thinks she's right condeming me for smoking my cigarette. Thanks for reading my comment. I know my kids are going to get there safely, are hers?

Smoking

Being that smoking is legal why is it taxed so much? Alcohol is much worse for your health and no one is doing anything about raising the tax on that. Something is wrong here isn't it????? I believe that the people that drink should be taxed the same for a drink. Wouldn't that cause an up-roar!

smoking

i do not plan to quit anytime soon. i do not appreciate being told what to do, i do not mind going outside to smoke, being coupedup in a house or a building has never excited me anyway, i am so sick of all the press on do this, i refuse to be badgered, when i quit or if i quit will be when i want to, the press and media will have no affect on my decision, a smoker is not a 2nd rate citizen, quit treating us as such. i am perfectly capeable to read a no smoking sign. i have been bagdered for smoking outside that is totally out of line if you're a non smoker stay inside, stop belly achein when were outside, keep your non smoking campaign to public places, my car my home are mine dont come see me nor ask for a ride. you are invading our privacy get out of our homes and cars you have no buisness there.

City Smoking list

I grew up in Huntington, WV. There is no way it should be #1. The population compared to the other cities are extremely lower. And if you don't count the collage students who are only there for a couple of years, it wouldn't even be in the top 10.

UVM

If you include residents of the University of Vermont as residents of Burlington Vermont, Burlington would not be on the most smoke free list.

Burlington maybe very health conscious, but it has plenty of smokers.

Smoking

Smoking, although bad for your health is a personal decision. It is legal to buy cigarettes, so it should be legal to smoke them. Smoking laws should be up to business owners and people can choose where they want to go.
