Stevia
Do you have any info re: "Stevia Extract." It is being sold in Las Vegas at the present time, but I did not see it on your list of stevia products.
stevia and type 1 diabetics.
My 14 year old has type 1. We have tried using splenda, but all the bad publicity it has been getting worries me. Sugar is only 4 grams of carbs per teaspoon. I live in a rural area and have not seen stevia advertised anywhere. When will it be approved by the JDRF, and will it benefit both type 1 and 2? I am starting to think this all a big scam to get us the consumers to buy what the advertisers want us to buy, (power of suggestion), we have gone back to using sugar, just not as much, and the child is doing just fine.
Stevia
Where in Topeka Kansas can I try Stevia
Stevia
I HAVE TRIED THE SPOONABLE STEVIA PACKETS FROM "STEVITA" AND I LOVE IT. I READ ABOUT THE OTHER SWEETNERS AND HOW DANGEROUS THEY ARE, WITH ASPERTAME IN EVERYTHING I STOPPED BUYING DIET DRINKS. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING STEVIA IN EVERYTHING. A BOX OF 50 PACKS IS 3.25 NOT MUCH MORE THAN SWEET&LOW OR SPLENDA WHICH HAS ASPERTAME IN IT, WHICH I DO NOT WANT TO CONSUME.
THANK GOD WE HAVE SOMEHTING SAFE INSTEAD OF SOME OF THE OTHER UNNATURAL STUFF TRYING TO KILL US FOR THE SAKE OF BIG MONEY.

i want to know some testing centers in India where i can test my stevia products?
Health food stores
You can get stevia in health food stores because it's been marketed for years as a dietary supplement.
I'm a US citizen who lives abroad. I'm also an insulin dependent diabetic (different from people who get it at an older age).
I had a friend get me two boxes of stevia packets when he was in Canada. My version has a small aftertaste but I use it in things like homemade yogurt and it's okay in that. I just tend not to use sweetners in drinks anymore. The one exception is fruit teas and in those I usually use Splenda.
cost
I think the cost is enormous so we substitute our diet with high cost sugar instead of medicine that cost so much. The only difference is that it is natural. However my insurance takes a big bite of that for medicine so although it hurts the pocket still it still is not like having to pay 25 dollars for one case of pop out of my pocket or pay 10 for a gallon of chocolate milk. It seems a diabetic person is screwed no matter which way he goes, doesn't it? I know that as smart as people are now days that someone could have figured out a pill or a tx for diabeties but I guess it's more profitable to keep us buying products if we have the money this week to do so than to truly cure our ailment so we can live life as normal as the next joe, but apparently money is the key around all diseases. I want a life that is enjoyable without the worry of expensive cost or sacrificing my other three organs to save 2. It is a rat race that I can't seem to make a direction of. If I stay with artificial sweetners I could be in for renal failure and if I pay the price for a natural sweetner that has been grown for years I'll hate myself for falling prey to big companies who make money at the expense of my illness. It doesn't matter how you look at it physically or mentally people with major medical problems never lead a full normal wonderful life.
stevia
where do you guy stevia?
Stevia
Both diabetes and hypoglycemia run in my family, so I'm very careful to limit my sugar intake. I've been using Stevia for years as a sweetener for tea, coffee and iced tea, and I highly recommend Trader Joe's as the best brand. They offer it not only in bulk but also in a box of individual paper packets, just like other sweeteners, so you can easily carry them with you to the office, your neighborhood coffee spot, or out to lunch.
