Time in the Sun: How Much Is Needed for Vitamin D?

What about sitting in the shade to get sun -- How long for getting results then - Ssy you just want to be outside in the air and read a book. Is the still benefit.

In nursing school I was taught that Vit D, along w/ 3 more, I think A and E and ? ( it was a long time ago )was fat soluable instead of being water soluable and therefore is difficult to get rid of and can become toxic. Is this just "old school", my MD has me taking 20,000 iu one time weekly, because I'm so low. If I miss one, my pain increases- (am I just nuts) or is there any info related to that?

I wouldn't say that more people are getting skin cancer more today than in the past because another reason could be that not that many cases were reported because they might not have known it was cancer.
