Healing Rhythms at Planet Massage

We have been using the Healing Rhythms system now at Planet Massage for a couple of months. We are very excited and happy with the results. Our therapists loved it so much, I sold out of our first shipment in to days. We are offering the treatment in our clinic/spa packaged with a special stress reducing massage, as well as for client’s home use. It is very affordably priced, so if you wish to continue at home, that option is readily available. Visit us at Planet Massage for more information. http://www.PlanetMassage.com

Grecia Newman

More than qualified; BCIA certified

It really is the "gold standard" for the biofeedback pracitioner and the BCIA certification helps protect the public. All types of practitioners become BCIA certified including doctors, chiropractors, nurses, physical therapists, coaches, psychologists, social workers...

List of conditions

The article was rather sparse in what symptoms respond to biofeedback. One the one hand, there are too many to mention because optimizing the nervous system is good for so much. Here is my list of the biggies.

Optimal functioning: students, meditators, performing artists, athletes, soldiers, executives.

Everybody: sleep, mental focus, memory, emotional health.

Brain: seizures, stroke, traumatic brain injury, coma, migraine.

Lifestyle: drug & alcohol abuse, criminality, eating disorders.

Arousal: stress, anxiety, headache, OCD, anger, PTSD, psychological trauma.

Chronic: asthma, IBS, TMJ, chronic fatigue, immune suppression, fibromyalgia.

Not just kids: ADD, autism, Asperger’s, stuttering, Tourette’s, tics, learning disorders.

Women: PMS, menopause, hot flashes, pregnancy.

Major: cancer, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain, depression.

Neurofeedback clinicans

"If you proceed, be sure your practitioner is certified by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America, since anyone can hang out a shingle; typically, certified practitioners are also licensed psychologists."

I don't know where you got your information but it is not true.

There are many skilled clincians not BCIA certified and there are other certification agencies for Neurofeedback besides BCIA.

And the "typical" clinican is not a psychologist. There are social workers, counselors, physicians, chiropractors, nurses, educators, and others who are well trained and experienced in the field of Neurofedback, aka EEG Biofeedback.

What is more important is to discuss with the clinician what their experience and training are and have they worked successfully with others with the same problems.
