Living in congruence with your true self

Don't forget about being who you are. I don't have any clinical trials to back it up, but I'm quite certain that living to please others or holding true to some unattainable ideal we have set for ourselves raises our stress levels as well as our blood pressure!

yoga

Yoga is great for relaxing and staying healthy, but should be used with caution in people with very high blood pressure. Many poses temporarily increase blood pressure, and in people with high, uncontrolled blood pressure this can cause organ damage (like a stroke). Like they say, talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise regime. If you have very high pressure, regular walking is probably better until blood pressure is better controlled, then add in yoga.

Try the feline method

Get a cat. Any cat will do. Get the cat to really enjoy your company. Encourage the cat to sleep with you and come to you frequently. When I go to bed, about the same time every night, my cat likes to climb on my chest for a petting. As you pet your cat you can almost feel your blood pressure going down.

cut a 500 mg rutin tablet in four.

Blood Pressure

Anybody can lower their blood pressure at will simply by breathing deeply, typically (depending on the starting point) 10 to 30 points. i.e. from 150/100 to 120/90 is easily possible. Get into to the habbit of inhaling deeply, then expelling ALL the air from your longs. It takes about 5 minutes to lower the blood pressure, and a few weeks of deep breathing to make it perminant.
