Drinking more wine

I am all about the positive things that red wine can do for your heart. I checked http://www.vitaminalmanac.com

Started taking Resveratrol 2 months ago

I began taking a Resveratrol supplement (Vindure 900) about 2 months ago, along with my wife. We both have experienced a substantial boost in energy level, and I am down 11 lbs. (but have a long way to go...)

Have been recommending it to everyone I know.

Resveratrol and other polyphenols

Resveratrol has been shown to have many wide-ranging health effects as reported in this article.

There are many products on the market, but few good ones. The best supplements have:

- 400 to 500 mg of resveratrol. Make sure it's 98% pure or better. If the supplement doesn't say the purity level, it's not very pure.

- 100+ mg of Quercetin

- 400+ mg of red wine grape extract

Quercetin and other red wine grape polyphenols help keep resveratrol in the blood stream longer as has been proven by scientists at Harvard and Marywood University.

Consumers also report several short term effects such as increased energy, weight loss, and a sense of "calmness"

Personally, I recommend product from Longevinex and Vinomis (Vindure 900) as these include a combination of polyphenols.

Red Wine Health Aspects

One bottle of wine contains 2.2 pounds of grapes. There is a huge difference in which grapes are used since the more tannic wines usually contain more of the grape skin constituients. Since grape skins are fermented with the red grape juice from 14 - 21 days, the fermenting grae juice absorbs what is in/on the skins. Grapes are usually not washed before destemming/crushing so allergens on the grape skins are also included in red wines. If you are prone to allergies, you should be aware of possible allergens in grape skins.

Numerous studies have shown that controlled drinking of red wines have numerous health benefits such as a reduction in dementia, less prone to cancer and health disease, plus you have the benefits of a relaxer. Long-term studies are easy to see the benefits just by looking at the red-wine-consuming populations of Italy and France with their bad eating habits but healthy lives.

Apparently Resveratrol has been shown to increase longevity

I have read quite a bit about Resveratrol at the website longevityexperts.com and they have plenty of information about this.

I am taking a supplement right now and I know a doctor in Atlanta who swears by it.

Muscadine resveratrol

Muscadines have the highest levels of resveratrol and Duplin Winery is the largest producer of Muscadine wines. they started the industry in north carolina and recognized the benefits of their wine many years ago. they started a sister company, nutragrape, that takes the seeds, skins, and resveratrol found in muscadines and created a daily nutraceutical. customers have been drinking the wine and taking the 100% natural supplement for a long time and credit the wine with reducing cholesterol and a helping with a host of aging problems, including alzheimer's, cancers, and more. No one in the mainstream media has recognized the power of the muscadine. its wines (both red AND white) have ten times the resveratrol when compared with ordinary red wines.

Resveratrol buyer beware

Resveratrol can only be effective if your supplier actually gives you what you purchase and the amount of trans-resveratrol conforms to the product's label claims. Consumer Lab, the recognized independent authority on supplement and over the counter drug testing, evaluated the major brands of resveratrol recently and found many lacking in content and quality. None of the newer companies, most of which use some form of the word resveratrol in their name, agreed to have their products tested. The highest potency products that passed their evaluation were Biotivia’s Transmax and Bioforte. Bioforte was also the lowest price per mg of active ingredient. The test was open to all brands. The results are on the ConsumerLab web site. Also,in tests done by the University of Bologne, Italy it was found that almost 80% of all so-called resveratrol products contained either no trans-resveratrol or less than ten percent of the label claimed amount of this essential compound. This is clearly a case of buyer beware. A company which is dominating Google sponsored ads claiming to be associated with Dr. Oz is a complete scam. Oprah and Dr. Oz's lawyers are on to him.

red wine and red grapes

Would eating red grapes have a similar effect as red wine since the main ingrediant in wine is grapes.

Red Wine and the positive effects

Resveratrol has been shown to increase strength, endurance, and speed of lab mice. Findings from studies suggest resveratrol may be effective in mice and humans in smaller doses than previously known. Studies suggest a significant positive effect on aging in mice with dosages that mimic 4-5ounces of wine daily. Researchers believe resveratrol can mimic many of the effects of caloric restriction at doses that can be easily achieved by humans.

So….if you are not predisposed to alcoholism and your doctor has not restricted you from alcohol, one 4-5 ounce glass of red wine a day may indeed promote a healthier aging process.

make a nightly reservation for resveratrol

there is no better part of the day when after three or four sips, the good red wine begins its dissertation on just how good life can be.
