Medical Bills Driving Most Middle-Class Bankruptcies
Michael Moore's Oscar-nominated documentary "SICKO" (AARP should endorse this movie for all retirees because of the high ratio of illnesses) addresses the failing health care system in the United States; this movie should be required viewing for any family less than multi-millionaire status.
The problems in the health care system range from the well compensated pharmaceutical lobbyists and high cost associated with physician care (or the lack of) that we experience either directly or through someone we know - to the mounting reckless abuses suffered in hospitals across the country; American consumers are doomed by the endless demands for money, and more money, with minimal regard for adequate medical attention. The bills can be just as endless as the search for adequate health care that the middle class can afford.
