radiation treatments after a prosectomy

my husband has been advised he should take 7 or 8 weeks of radiation. he had a robotic surgery to remove his prostate in march 09. all margins showed clear of cancer. lymph nodes clear. seminole vessels clear. we were relieved after surgery. but now we are deciding about this radiation. the doctor said that it is due to a new paper showing that because of his gleason score of 8. his psa in april 09 showed a <0.05. can you help or give us medical update on soy protein. can you give us medical update on which radiation is best for him.
